What to do with Dead Birds

Beginning March 1, 2010, residents of Yuba and Sutter counties are encouraged to call 1 877 WNV-BIRD to report dead birds discovered around their homes, workplaces and other recreational areas. Arrangements for dead bird collection cannot be made through our office. All calls must go through the WNV Hotline. Dead bird reports are valuable and will be included as important data in determining WNV threat assessments.
